The panel, which is organized by GenderInSITE's regional focal point for Southern Africa at the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf), will take place on Wednesday, 9 December from 9:00- 10:30 under the third cycle of thematic parallel sessions. The title is "Igniting conversations about science," with key objectives to create a platform for a vibrant debate on the role of science, technology and innovation and society in South Africa; strengthen the country's strategic international science, technology and innovation partnerships; and to create a platform for senior government leaders, academics, scientists, industry, civil society, and students to interact.
