On 8 November, The Atlantic will hold a special event as part of its AtlanticLive series on Women in Science, highlighting recent achievements by women in STEM as well as strategies for ensuring that more female innovators flourish in the field. The speakers for this event include Balanda Atis, Manager of L'Oreal's Women of Color Lab; Maria Freire, President and Executive Director of the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health; and Margot Lee Shetterly, the author of Hidden Figures.
